Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran was a speaker, investor, and businesswoman from the United American. In 2001, she launched The Corcoran Group in New York City. She sold the brokerage to NRT for $66 millions. Shortly thereafter, she exited from the business. One of the original "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in all 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank to date. In February of 2020, she's signed 53 deals for the show, with the biggest being a $350,000 investment in 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second of the family of 10 children and was raised in Edgewater. [8] Her mother, Florence, was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a multi-talented worker throughout Corcoran's childhood. Sometimes, her family relied upon free food delivery from a friendly local grocery store. Corcoran still remembers her father as someone who would drink often and did not treat her mother with respect. Corcoran struggled through her schooling, later learning that she was dyslexic. Corcoran went to the local Catholic elementary school before beginning high school in St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. After flunking several courses during her first year of high school, Corcoran transferred to Leonia High School, where she received a grade of D.
