Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political adviser who was the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 221. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 as well as the White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage from 2017 through 2020. Her career in politics began in 2001, when she was working for the reelection campaigns of Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democrats running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as deputy press secretary for John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki worked from 2005 to 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as the regional press secretary to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communication and was press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 election campaign. Her appointment at the Department of State fueled speculation that she would replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney as he left for the White House.
