Her work has been recognized with three Olivier Award nominations. In 2015, she joined the actors in the fifth season of Game of Thrones. HBO show Game of Thrones as Septa Unella and also appeared as an ensemble member on the 2012 film adaptation of Les Miserables and 2018 British psychological thriller Winter Ridge in a primary role.
